Suitable for one night. Gorgeous venue, fab food, marvellous location on waterfront. Competent staff and gorgeous breakfast with a good choice of options. Location very close to river and food served, the centre of the building and theatre. And a 10-minute walk from York Minster.
Awful views.

beautiful river views, lively riverside atmosphere, charming building ambiance
Cleanliness needs serious attention!!! A thorough deep clean could elevate the experience. Noise from nearby pubs can be overwhelming at night!!! It would be advantageous to implement better soundproofing strategies.

The warm welcome from the manager was a highlight, and the lovely river view from our room added to the charm. Clean and well-maintained, the king-size bed provided a comfortable night's rest. The noise from the quay was noticeable, and the lack of parking was inconvenient. The absence of breakfast on-site was a drawback, though there were dining options nearby.

The room was quite spacious and immaculate, though the noise from the streets was a bit disruptive at times. While some cleanliness issues, like dusty areas, were evident, the location was excellent and made exploring easy. Staff interactions were mostly pleasant, enhancing the experience.

The bathroom was fantastic with its modern design and heated mirror, making it a cozy spot for a quick refresh. The hotel offers a nice area to relax outdoors with a drink and a cozy lounge to unwind after a day of exploring. Just a heads up, the room had a bit of a musty odor when we arrived, but it went away after we opened a window. 🌟

Beautiful river views and clean rooms
The room was impeccably clean and provided all the comforts I needed. It was a perfect base for exploring the beautiful sights of York, offering easy access to the city center. One minor issue was the noise from the lively riverside atmosphere during the night, which may not suit light sleepers.
